A: The Town of Decatur does not provide curbside garbage pick - up. If you want curbside pick-up you will have to contract with a private hauler. The Town does have a drop-off site for recyclables only at the Town Garage at 1800 14th Street.This is contracted thru Green Valley Disposal.There are dumpsters there 24-7 into which you can put your recyclables. You may also take your garbage and recyclables directly to the Green County Transfer Site (aka the Green County Landfill).There is a tipping fee for garbage, but no charge for recyclables. the site is located at W2002 County SS.
